It’s one of those days full of news from Marvel’s next crop of films, which they’ve labeled as “Phase Two.” Those films include IRON MAN 3, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and of course, THE AVENGERS 2. Every one of those except THOR got an update today.
First up, it sounds like THE AVENGERS 2 will occupy the same production space in the UK as THOR: THE DARK WORLD and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY before it, at Pinewood-Shepperton. Filming sounds like it will begin early next year, and the massive tentpole will set up camp there by the end of the year.
If you own the blu-ray boxed set, Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled, then you were given a special preview of phase 2. Marvel has released an excerpt from said teaser, and we have it embedded for you:
