Long a running joke in the Marvel Universe, Batroc the Leaper is making a statement by appearing in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre will be playing the French Canadian acrobat Georges Batroc, who will undoubtedly test his mettle against Cap and Falcon in Anthony and Joe Russo’s sequel.
The film also stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford (since when?) and Maximiliano Hernández. It’s coming April 4th, 2014.
